Mailtraq > Features > Webmail > Setting up WebMail Setting up WebMailBefore you start
WebMail is only included in the Professional and Professional with Proxy editions of Mailtraq. The version of WebMail described here was introduced in version 2.2. You can check your version, and whether your installation supports WebMail by clicking Help | About Mailtraq in the Mailtraq Console.
If your installation does not support WebMail, you can upgrade to a version that does, at https://my.mailtraq.com (A charge may be payable, depending on what you currently have)
If you have a new installation...
If you have installed Mailtraq Professional version 2.2 as a new install, WebMail will be already setup, and you can skip step 1 below. However you should still check that your users can log in to WebMail, as described in step 2.
If you have upgraded from a previous version...
There are two stages to setting up the service:
- Run the WebMail Install Wizard
- Allow users to log in
|
1. Run the WebMail Install Wizard
From the Mailtraq Console, choose Help | WebMail Install Wizard
Follow the prompts to chose a port that Mailtraq should provide the service on.
(Be sure to choose a port that is not currently in use by Mailtraq or any other program)
|
2. Allow users to log in
Unless you are going to be running a public self-sign-up service, you will need to chnage the settings for the users to allow them to log on.
From the Mailtraq Console, choose Options | Users
For each user who will be allowed to use WebMail, select the User, and click Properties. On the Mail tab, check 'Enable Web mail Login for this user'
