Mailtraq > Features > LDAP Server LDAP ServerThe Mailtraq Professional Edition includes an LDAP directory server (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) that allows users with an LDAP capable mail client (such as Outlook) to search the local directory for user accounts and e-mail addresses.
With support for additional directory entries, this service is ideal for the large organisation where internal e-mail is commonplace.
You can also use LDAP to search addresses in mailing lists within Mailtraq. This enables you to have a shared corporate email address book containing external contacts' details.
You can set up Mailtraq with any number of LDAP services (on different ports) to offer access to any number of separate lists.
You can also allow the user to specify which list the LDAP service should map to by using the 'search base' field in the email client. |
